Black tea Earl Grey Bergamot flavoured

In 1833, Earl Grey, the Earl of Howick Hall and then British Prime Minister, ended the East India Company’s monopoly on the tea trade with China. The originally pure Chinese tea was delicately infused with the fine oil of bergamot, a fragrant citrus fruit. This added aroma, introduced by the Chinese, helped preserve the tea’s freshness and protected it from absorbing unwanted flavors of mold or tar during its long voyage to England.

Named after the Earl himself, this tea has since become the epitome of fine English tea culture. A must-have in any well-curated tea collection!

Ingredients: black tea, natural flavoring type bergamot.

 100° C water temperature

4-5 heaped tsp./1 liter.
