This family-run business in Costa Rica produces outstanding plantation coffees in the West Valley, growing at altitudes of 1,500 to 1,700 meters. Thanks to the region’s volcanic soil, rich in essential nutrients, the conditions for coffee cultivation are simply perfect. We are thrilled to have secured another batch of these three exceptional varieties, crafted using traditional methods. They beautifully embody the world-renowned flavors of Costa Rican coffee—a true specialty that every coffee lover must try!
Red Honey & Honey Process – Character and Taste
To enhance the drying process while preserving the coffee’s natural fruity notes, the coffee cherries are crushed but not washed. In the Red Honey Process, the beans remain encased in their fruit pulp and are dried under the sun, intensifying their sweetness. In the Honey Process, only about half of the pulp remains on the bean, striking a perfect balance between fruitiness and smoothness. Both methods result in a full-bodied cup with rich, chocolate-like flavours and vibrant, fruity undertones—a true delight for the senses!
